First edition in 1999 at 2000 copies, destroyed in a storage’s fire.
Second limited edition of 42 copies – Notebooks printed on Cyclus 140g with the 1st edition. Boxes remade in March 2020 – Gallery Cyrille Putman.

The content of this book is five notebooks in which Huang Yong Ping studied his works from 1989 to 1997, all facsimile reproduced, the pictures are hand varnished with a stencil. When the artist added an element (layer, leaflet or a transparent) we have included them with an amazing fidelity. The 2000 copies had been destroyed in a fire where they were stored. By miracle, I had at my place enough material to remake 42 copies. Only the box has been remade. A printer masterpiece.

Huang Yong Ping

I discovered Yong Ping’s work in 1989 when the mythical show took place at Beaubourg,“Les Magiciens de la Terre”. It was the first time that a European curator confronts occidental art with merging countries creations. Almine Rech and myself loved his work. We proposed him his first solo show in a Paris gallery followed by three others. At that time the artist was questioning the Yi King to determine the subjects and material to create his works. Of course, it’s much more complex than just that! Huang Yong Ping is one of the most talented artist, the first generation who leaved his country.

Free shipping anywhere in metropolitan France. Via Colissimo for parcels up to 1 kg, with tracking, within 4 working days Via Fedex or Prestazur for parcels over 1kg, with insurance and signature upon receipt, within 8 working days.

Abroad
Worldwide shipment at the buyer’s expense depending on volumes and destination. Delivery charges are displayed when ordering after entering the address. Delivery times: from 3 to 8 working days. If longer, the gallery will contact the buyer. This period does not take into account any delay due to customs inspection.

Return

If you wish to return a package, please contact us, you can return it up to 14 days after receipt. We will refund your order in full as soon as possible.
